Panasonic Varicam LT Super 35mm EF and PL mount 4k (4096 x 2160) digital cinema camera
The Panasonic Varicam LT Super 35mm 4K camera is a great Drama, TVC, Corporate and Documentary camera. It's biggest asset in my opinion is the dual native ISO of 800 and 5000. It's colour science produces subtle, realistic colours and natural skin tones. It has the famed Varicam look and heritage after all. It has native mounts for both PL and more affordable EF lenses too. Single or Dual Link 4K RAW output so you can record Pro Res RAW to an external recorder like the Atomos Shogun Inferno. Professional audio, timecode, codecs and form factor. This is my flagship camera in the fleet. Pick the right camera for the right job.
Panasonic EVA-1 Super 35mm EF mount 5.7k (4096 x 2160) digital cinema camera
The Panasonic EVA-1 5.7K Super 35mm camera is a great Drama, TVC, Corporate and Documentary camera. It matches my Varicam LT well in multicam shoots especially when shooting V-Log on both cameras. It has a dual native ISO of 800 and 2500. The sensor is 5.7K for a true 4K capture rendering really sharp images. It's colour science produces subtle, realistic colours and natural skin tones matching the other Varicam cameras. It has a native EF mount. Single Link 6G 4K RAW output allows you to record to Pro Res RAW on external recorders like the Atomos Shogun Inferno or Sumo 19. Professional audio, timecode, codecs and form factor. This is sometimes my A camera depending on the job and I love that I can build it up or strip it down as required for a lightweight alternative to shooting with the Varicam LT. In multicam shoots it's a perfect B camera. Pick the right camera for the right job.
Panasonic HPX3100G B4 mount P2 HD camcorder
The Panasonic HPX3100 P2 HD camera is still the right choice for a variety of jobs. Nothing beats this form factor for run/gun and corporate long lens shooting. Also good for recording all day continuously with no recording limit or overheating issues. Paired with a ENG B4 zoom lens with zoom demand you can do those smooth on air follows and zooms. Great 10bit 4:2:2 100Mbps AVCIntra 100 codecs and 10bit 4:2:0 50Mbps codec recording for longer record times (all internal). All file based workflow. I have been P2 since 2008 and never looked back. No expensive tape decks or disk readers required. Low maintenance. No moving parts like tape/disk transports. Professional audio, timecode, codecs and form factor. Still used today and compliments my many arsenal of cameras. Pick the right camera for the right job.
